Carla Pinzón
Carla is the founder of Expand Power.
She is a 2024 Activate Fellow, sponsored by the Department of Energy. The highly competitive Activate Fellowship is a two year fellowship empowering entrepreneurial scientists and engineers to bring their groundbreaking research to market as new products and services that will combat climate change.
Carla received her M.Eng. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from MIT and has an extensive technical background in power electronics and electrical engineering. Previously, she was a Ph.D. Candidate at Stanford and a Power Electronics Engineer at Sonos. She is the co-author of multiple pending patents.
